Filling Blessing Boxes to Support our Community
Thank You for Supporting Our Blessing Box Food Drive
A day of simple kindness added up to something powerful. Our Fill the Blessing Box event brought neighbors from across Middle Tennessee together to stock community pantries with food, hygiene items, and household essentials—no questions asked, just support. At Women Supporting Women in Middle TN, we believe now more than ever it’s important for women to take care of themselves, and that we’re stronger together. This day was proof.
What’s a Blessing Box? A Blessing Box is a small, outdoor community pantry where neighbors can “take what you need, leave what you can.” It’s mutual aid at its most practical—nonperishable foods, period products, diapers, baby wipes, and toiletries available 24/7. For women facing food insecurity or a tight month, these boxes bridge the gap with dignity and care.
The Impact You Helped Create
Immediate relief: Stocked boxes mean immediate access—no forms, no barriers.
Community resilience: When we organize around care—food, hygiene, diapers—we reduce stress on families and strengthen our shared safety net.
How You Can Keep the Blessing Boxes Filled
Donate high-need items:
Pantry: canned soups/stews, tuna, peanut butter, pasta, rice, beans, instant oatmeal, shelf-stable milk, snack packs
Hygiene: pads, tampons, liners, deodorant, soap, shampoo, toothpaste/toothbrushes
Baby/Family: diapers (all sizes), pull-ups, baby wipes, formula, baby food, lotion
Host a micro-drive: At your workplace, book club, church group, or neighborhood
Volunteer: Help us sort, restock, and check boxes across Middle TN
Thank You, Middle Tennessee
To every volunteer, donor, and partner who showed up: you made this possible. Your generosity filled boxes—and hearts. Women Supporting Women in Middle TN is deeply grateful to our community of supporters, local businesses, and women’s support advocates who believe, as we do, that we are stronger together.
